Advise
Take the guesswork out of consent and boundary practices. Script breakdown to develop a clear plan for auditions, casting, rehearsal and beyond for every intimate scene in your production. Guidance on scenes involving nudity, simulated sex and other non sexual intimacy (e.g. familial), providing suggestions on clear risk reduction measures.
Advocate & Liase
Understanding the directors wish list for each scene is paramount. As a communicator/collaborator (not decision maker), ascertaining actors boundaries in relation to this. Crew are equally as important ensuring boundaries are honoured during intimate scenes. In consultation with the costume department, oversee the use of modesty garments. Working closely with the AD for closed set processes. As needed, collaboration with prosthetic technicians, DP, make-up, set design.
Everyone is navigating intimacy in new ways , but 'time is money' will always be a thing.
Time is of the essence on any production. Mistakingly, some might think working with me as your Intimacy Professional slows the process. Nothing could be further from the truth. By supporting performers and the production team, I'll assist with understanding what to expect during intimate scenes.
And in the event that something unexpected does occur, I've probably already thought of a contingency plan. If not, we'll quickly find a solution to any issues that arise.
As a former professional dancer and Performing Arts educator, I am now specialising in intimacy coordination. My extensive training, is leveraged with aligned tertiary qualifications and diverse transferable skills to attentively support productions. I take a collaborative approach to enhance intimate storytelling, while contributing to a dynamic, unforgettable on set experience.
